Title: Hush, Hush
Author: Becca Fitzpatrick
Genre: YA (Urban Fantasy)
Why did I read the book: I loved the cover at the first look and the premise.
I am absolutely enthralled by the cover (athletic looking, darkly mysterious fallen angel, contorted in mid-air in grayscale, What's not to like?)
How did I get the book: I received a recommendation on Goodreads relating to YA Urban Fantasy.
First thought came in Mind: Can once Archangel-turned-Fallen Angel be one's Guardian angel???
Summary
Patch's....Well....
“Patch wasn't the kind of guy mothers smiled on. He was the kind of guy they changed the house locks for.”
He's bad and he knows it.
“I'm not good," he said, piercing me with eyes that absorbed all light but reflected none, "but I was worse.”
Intimidating, of course he is.... still Nora's fantasizing
“Patch was dressed in the usual: black shirt, black jeans and a thin silver necklace that flashed against his dark complexion. His sleeves were pushed up his forearms, and I could see his muscles working as he punched buttons. He was tall and lean and hard, and I wouldn't have been surprised if under his clothes he bore several scars, souvenirs from street fights and other reckless behavior.
Not that I wanted a look under his clothes.”
There's sexiness in the way he talks."Do you want to possess my body?"
"I want to do a lot of things to your body, but that's not one of them.”
Then he's stubborn, completely capable of getting what he wants.“I don't go out with strangers," I said.
"Good thing I do. I'll pick you up at five.” -Patch
Finally he did sacrifice his long desired wish of being an human for his love.
"I'm your guardian angel," he said.
"I get my very own guardian angel? What, exactly, is your job description?"
"Guard your body." His smile tipped higher. "I take my job seriously, which means I'm going to need to get acquainted with the subject matter on a personal level.”
Nora's clumsy and confused when it comes to her feelings about Patch.
“He was the worst kind of wrong. He was so wrong it felt right, and that made me feel completely out of control.” “One more secret smile. One more shared laugh. One more electric kiss. Finding him was like finding someone I didn't know I was searching for.”
like a glossy black death trap.”

Summary
A sacred oath, a fallen angel, a forbidden love…This darkly romantic story features our heroine, Nora Grey, a seemingly normal teenage girl with her own shadowy connection to the Nephilim, and super-alluring bad boy, Patch Cipriano, now her partner in biology class. Together they find themselves at the centre of a centuries-old feud between a fallen angel and a Nephilim…Forced to sit next to Patch in science class, Nora attempts to resist his flirting, though gradually falls for him against her better judgment. Meanwhile creepy things are going on with a mysterious stalker following her car, breaking into her house and attacking her best friend, Vee Sky. Nora suspects Patch, but there are other suspects too – not least a new boy who has transferred from a different college after being wrongly accused of murdering his girlfriend. And he seems to have taken a shine to Nora…Love certainly is dangerous…and someone is going to have to make the ultimate sacrifice for it.
Review:[A warning: this review contains spoilers]
"Nora Grey is responsible and smart and not inclined to be reckless. Her first mistake was falling for Patch. .
Patch has made countless mistakes and has a past that could be called anything but harmless. The best thing he ever did was fall for Nora. "
The plot is simple: Nora Grey is the uncoordinated, plain girl who walks into Biology class one day to find out that the teacher wants to shake things up by moving the kids around. Instead of sitting with her best friend Vee as per usual, Nora ends up sitting next to the new kid, Patch. The dark, hot, mysterious Patch whom as soon as Nora sits next to him, starts to tease, argue, behaving like a jerk to Nora. Then, weird things start to happen, Nora believes she is being watched; someone jumps in front of her car when she is driving home one day and almost rips the door out. She immediately thinks that Patch is behind those incidents. She notices that everywhere she goes, he is there. More weird things happen, Patch can put thoughts inside her mind, he has a scar in his back. An internet search is in order: “angel wing scar” she types and is frightened that OMG Patch may not be human. She fears him, he is certainly dangerous, can she trust him? But yes. But no. But he is hot. But he is dangerous. He loves her! She loves him! He saves her from himself (he wants to kills her!) and from the dangerous lunatic who wants revenge.

Okay, I have to agree it is bit Twilightish just with Angels rather other vampires plus both the series consist of four books.
But there are moments that provoke the readers to think about the story of Nora-Patch from different angles.
Patch's....Well....
“Patch wasn't the kind of guy mothers smiled on. He was the kind of guy they changed the house locks for.”
He's bad and he knows it.

Love is all that matters.“I'd fallen in love with the devil.”
Patch's got a bike not Edward's Volvo.
“Wow. Nice bike,” I said. Which was a lie. It lookedlike a glossy black death trap.”
This line is new.“And anyway, the first three letters in the word diet should tell you what I want it to do.”
This book is full of mystery, romance, suspense, and humors(especially Vee). Though some may like it, some may no... I say what's the harm in giving a try with Twilight being out-dated Hush,Hush will grow YA feeling and curiosity.
Notable Quotes/ Parts:
- “Keep in mind that people change, but the past doesn't.”
- “But if I hadn't fallen, I wouldn't have met you.”
- “The higher up, the harder the fall.”
Verdict: This book can be a little snack for Friday night along with a glass of wine or a bowl of one's favorite ice-cream.
Rating: I give Hush,Hush 3 full stars out of 5.Next Read: Complete the series to find out "Will Love survive the Ultimate Finale?"
