(Spoiler Alert)

Braden Carmichael is a man who always gets what he wants. And what he wants is Jocelyn in his bed. Knowing how skittish Joss is concerning any kind of relationship, Braden proposes a sexual arrangement that should satisfy the intense attraction between them without it developing into anything ‘more’. An intrigued Jocelyn agrees, completely unprepared for the Scotsman and his single-minded determination to strip the stubborn young woman bare… to the very soul.
If you have already read other books by Young, you are then very much accustomed with her writings. If not probably On Dublin Street will the best book to start with. This contemporary romance novel can be well related by every twenty-something individuals of London. While some connect with Joss , other fancy to get under her skin and walk in it. Truly who wouldn't want a life like that- freshly graduated, job in a hot-bar in the town, plenty of money inherited from parents, staying at a lavish apartment (sharing with most fascinating persona: Ellie). Never to miss the "no-string attached" arrangement with the sexiest man Braden, Ellie's Brother (Probably a Scottish version Of Mr. Grey from #fity_shades_of_grey). But like life is not always a happy one, and here traumas from the past, a guilt hanging over her neck , complications increasing with her frequent panic attacks and Braden bossing around, Joss's life pretty messed up.
There are several relevant and prominent reasons for choosing ODS for this week's "light-read" in between your heavy schedule of daily life or break from studies.
- Joss not only finds love with Braden, but a family with him and his sister, Ellie. Her journey is hard in this book, but I really liked it.
Do you need me to come home?
Was I home? - Joss shows her sense of humor sometimes too… “I’ll have the steak, medium-rare.” He smiled softly at me. “What are you having?” He took a swig of water.
“Apparently sausage.” - Braden likes to snuggle.
He studied me intently for a moment and then lowered his head until his lips were almost touching mine. “We fuck, we have fun, and then we spoon. I don’t go home. I don’t go home because sometimes in the middle of the night I wake up, and when I wake up, I want to fuck. And for some baffling reason, the person I want to fuck is you. Now, I’m only going to say this once more time. Go to sleep." - Braden is intense….
“Do you know what it’s been like for me since that day in the flat? Sitting across from you in bars, at dinner, knowing that underneath all the attitude is every man’s fucking fantasy?"His eyes narrowed as he reached for the buttons and zip on his suit pants. The zip slid down loudly. “I’m going to make you pay for making me wait to have you." - At dinner Braden says things like:“You’re sexy as fuck.”
- Braden is….possessive.
His arms tightened. “For the next three months you are. I mean it, Jocelyn. No one else touches you.” OR “Let go of her, asshole, before I tear the flesh from your hand and nail it to your balls.”
This book is fun. Sexy. A little dark. The heroine is prickly, defensive, and refuses to let anyone get close. It’s a rough journey. While the hero is extremely dominant, he also shows his softer side just when she needs it. It’s what I like to call a “crack” book. A book that is over the top emo that you can’t put down.
Will she overcome her fear of getting involved?? Why does the idea of having a real family scare her?? Finally will she ever get out of the Labyrinth created by her and successfully complete her very first novel??
To find out all the answers Go n Give it a try for break.
