FINALE ( Hush Hush #4)
Author: BECCA FITZPATRICK
Genre: YA, Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance
There had been ups and downs, still Patch and Nora managed to survive so far. But for how long more??
Will love conquer all?
Nora and Patch thought their troubles were behind them. Hank is gone and they should be able to put his ugly vendetta to rest. But in Hank's absence, Nora has become the unwitting head of the Nephilim and must finish what Hank began. Which ultimately means destroying the fallen angels - destroying Patch.
Nora will never let that happen, so she and Patch make a plan: lead everyone to believe they have broken up, and work the system from the inside. Nora will convince the Nephilim that they are making a mistake in fighting the fallen angels, and Patch will find out everything he can from the opposing side. They will end this war before it can even begin.
But the best-laid plans often go awry. Nora is put through the paces in her new role and finds herself drawn to an addictive power she never anticipated.
As the battle lines are drawn, Nora and Patch must confront the differences that have always been between them and either choose to ignore them or let them destroy the love they have always fought for.
The Review: (#Spoiler_alert)
Please note: This book is part of a series. There may be spoilers for previous books in the series in this review as well.
Whatever other reviews say, I liked loved the ending of FINALE. It gives readers a nice resolution.
“This was it. Together. Forever. As we left it all behind, the sun warmed my back, lighting the way before us. I knew of no better omen.”
I loved that Fitzpatrick chose to skip ahead a few years in the Epilogue.

My Rating: I give Finale 3.5 stars out of 5 and my over all rating for the series is 3. The previous books in the series ( HUSH HUSH, CRESCENDO, and SILENCE) are also reviewed.
NEXT READ: I will be reading my study books for a while as my exams are around the corner. But you can try some fresh and light after this fast-paced mystic paranormal series.

The concluding installment in Becca Fitzpatrick’s popular Hush, Hush saga, Finale pits true love against darkest evil as relationships are tested, lives are lost, and some, but not all will make it to a happy ever after…
Hush, Hush introduced us to their roller-coaster love, Crescendo left us breathless for more, Silence was, um, frustrating, and, now, in Finale, Patch and Nora’s love is tested to the limit as they stand on opposite sides of an impending battle. Will true love prevail or will Nora have to leave Patch behind in her quest for a peaceful life on earth for the Nephilim?
We pick up where we were left on Silence, with Nora trying to make the Nephilim not fight against the angels. Hank’s second in command, Dante Matterazzi, says he’s going to help her, because he swore an oath to Hank to do so. He starts training Nora so she’ll be faster and stronger, and he also tries to help her with the other Nephilim. Turns out that the word’s out on the streets and they know she’s been dating a fallen angel, so Nora and Patch fake a public breakup and Dante is more than happy to help them.
Meanwhile, Nora is having some trouble with this whole “we are not together” public thing. Of course she has, she just can’t follow any plan they have, right? She’s still jealous of Patch and can’t even hear the name Dabria. Yes, ladies and gentleman, Dabria is back again—for Nora’s desperation. But Dabria is the last of Nora’s problems, she has to deal with the Nephilim, and she has do to something quick. She also gains herself a new roommate. Marcie Miller, our favorite person *smirks*. That adds a lot of tension and humor to the story.
After one of their training sessions, Dante gives Nora a bottle full of a blue liquid that she believes it’s Gatorade. He fools her into drinking it, and she soon finds out it’s an enhancement drink called Devilcraft. And Nora thought she had destroyed it all… Turns out that Hank had someone working on these drinks and she had no idea. The drink makes her temporary stronger and faster, but it’s also highly addictive, as Nora soon realizes.
There’s also a new villain—or sort of—going around them, an archangel named Pepper Friberg, who is trying to talk to Patch at all costs. The guy’s been blackmailed by someone, and it seems he believes Patch is the one doing it. Patch believes Pepper made this all up because he wants to “chain him in hell.”Nora immediately tells Patch about the devilcraft, which is illegal on earth by archangel law. They begins to hunt for the man, Blakely, who is working with it.
If you have read my previous reviews You will know I kinda-ff write the whole story but this time I made myself promise not to disclose a good many portions of the book. For all I can say , there will lots of oomphs, awes, loss(unexpected which You might not like) and treachery from a close associate.
Among these high tension and fear of losing each other, our protagonists still manage to express their love for one another.
“I
saw you, and I wanted to be close to you. I wanted you to let me in. I wanted
to know you in a way no one else did. I wanted you, all of you.”
“Kiss me in a way I'll never forget. Kiss me
in a way that will stay with me until see you again.”
Patch
backed me into a tree and kissed me, hard.
I regained my breath. "Boys take not
everywhere: That was a kiss.”
FINALE had several things I didn't see coming. It’s always fun with an author throws you a couple of curve balls. You think you know how things are going to end and then BAM! You get hit in the face!
Also, be sure to have your tissues ready because if you have a heart you will cry. There is a pretty major death so prepare yourselves! Don’t say I didn't warn you! Finale has it all. Love, loss, betrayal and an epic battle of good versus evil.
With the end of the series Patch and his love for Nora will be greatly missed.
“I
want to wake up with you every morning and fall asleep beside you each night,”
Patch told me gravely. “I want to take care of you, cherish you, and love you
in a way no other man ever could. I want to spoil you — every kiss, every
touch, every thought, they all belong to you. I’ll make you happy. Every day,
I’ll make you happy.”
And Patch lovers might not like this but It's true he is--um--taken.
“I
swear to you, Nora Grey, on this day, from now and forever, to give myself to
you. I am yours. My love, my body, my soul—I place in your possession and
protection.” He held out the ring, a single offering, a binding promise.”
There are scenes where Patch never cease to surprise us with his sexiness.
“Nice
costume," he said.
"Ditto.
I can tell you put a lot of thought into yours."
Amusement
curled his mouth. "If you don't like it, I can take it off.”
I
tapped my chin thoughtfully. "That just might be the best proposal I've
had all night."
"My
offers are always the best, Angel.”
His possessiveness continues....
“You’re
mine, Angel. Every last piece of you. I won’t let anything change that.”
Throughout the serious I liked Nora's sense of humor quite entertaining.
“I hitched my thumb at the stairs. “I’m going
to my room to bang my head against the wall a few thousand times. Anything has
to be better than this.”
OR
OR
“There´s my date, I said. "Fashionably
late."
I even love this line from Patch's letter:
"I may have fallen from heaven, but I fell for you."
“This was it. Together. Forever. As we left it all behind, the sun warmed my back, lighting the way before us. I knew of no better omen.”
I loved that Fitzpatrick chose to skip ahead a few years in the Epilogue.
The exact Final quotes:
“You dress to impress," I said
approvingly.
"No, Angel." He leaned in,
his teeth softly grazing my ear. "I undress to impress.”
However, I did think that there was a question that should have been answered a little better. That’s the whole thing about whether how if a Nephilim doesn't swear fealty how they age. All that was said was that they didn't know because it had never happened before. Other than that I thought FINALE was a great conclusion to a great series.
And above all I get to learn a new trick from this series to solve every single problem.
And above all I get to learn a new trick from this series to solve every single problem.
“Fake it till you make it.” *No pun intended*
Did I like it? Yes.
Would I reread it? If I'm rereading the whole series, yes. (Which I need to do, back to back.)
Would I purchase it? I already have the kindle.
Would I recommend it? Yes, because the series must be finished--it's Hush, Hush!
